About this item
WD Purple and Seagate SkyHawk drives are rated for 24/7 recording, where a desktop drive wears out fast. As a rough guide on continuous H.265+ recording, 1 TB keeps four 2 MP cameras for 2 to 3 weeks and 4 TB keeps eight 4 MP cameras for about the same; motion-only recording lasts longer.
