Since 2024, Google requires bulk senders to Gmail to authenticate their mail with SPF, DKIM and DMARC and to offer one-click unsubscribe (Google). The domain is set up for that before the first campaign, with a Mailchimp setup or Brevo setup connected to it, so mail lands in the inbox.
