Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Booban Net. collects through this website, WhatsApp and email, how we use it, who handles it with us and the choices you have. It follows Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect

• The details you send us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, company and project brief, plus any files or links you share.
• Artwork and files you upload with an order, and the delivery place you pick on the map, as a pin and the words you type.
• The campaign that brought you here, such as an ad or a shared link, attached to your enquiry so we know which channels work.
• Visit statistics in aggregate, such as pages viewed and device type, to improve the site.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare your quote.
• To deliver your project and send invoices and receipts.
• To see which pages and campaigns bring enquiries.
• To send the project updates you asked for.

Why we process it

To carry out the quote or order you asked for; and in our legitimate interest, to measure visits and ads through the cookies the Cookie Policy describes, which you can switch off at any time, and to keep the site clear of bots and spam.

Who handles it with us

Your details stay with us and the services that run this site and deliver your work, each under its own privacy terms:

• Email: quotes and orders arrive in our inbox, and replies go from it.
• Hosting: our host serves the site, keeps short-lived server logs, checks that a form was sent by a person, and stores uploaded artwork at an unguessable link.
• Calendly: when you book a call, the booking goes to Calendly.
• Photon and OpenStreetMap: the delivery map; the place you type goes to Photon to find it, and the map tiles come from OpenStreetMap.
• WhatsApp, by Meta: the messages you send us there.
• Production partners and couriers, for making and delivering your order.
• Payment providers: they receive your payment details, phone number and email to take the payment and send the receipt, and we receive the confirmation.
• Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok: through analytics and advertising cookies, on from your first visit and off at any time in Cookie settings.

Some of these services run outside Kenya, in the United States and Europe, under their own safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay on file for up to two years. Project and billing records stay for as long as Kenyan tax law requires, currently five years. Uploaded artwork stays on file while the job runs and goes once you ask us to remove it. Server logs clear within days.

Security

Your details stay in accounts only we can open, this site runs over an encrypted connection, and uploaded files sit at unguessable links shared only with the people working on your order.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, take a copy of it or object to its use for marketing. Email us and we act on your request promptly. You can also raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at odpc.go.ke.
